William P. Koontz

Will Koontz joined Marcus & Millichap in 2015 and is a Senior Director in the firm’s Cleveland office. He is a partner of the Barron | Burkons | Wintermute Group and specializes in the disposition and acquisition of apartment communities throughout Northeast Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and Upstate NY.

Will and his team have closed more than 760 transactions encompassing over 96,000 units and $6.2 billion in total volume. Since 2017, they exclusively represented 67% of all 100+ unit multifamily transactions sold across Northeast Ohio. Their dominant market share, unmatched track record, and client-focused approach have consistently earned them recognition as the leading investment sales team in the Midwest and one of the highest-producing groups across the firm.

Over the last decade, Will has established a comprehensive client base of private investors, ultra high-net worth individuals, syndicators, family offices, and discretionary funds. He has built a strong reputation for his extensive real-time market knowledge and consistent ability to accurately identify value, create a highly competitive marketplace, and execute complex transactions in difficult environments.

Will graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Denison University in Granville, OH.
