James Rassenfoss

James Rassenfoss is a Senior Director of Investments in Marcus & Millichap’s Denver office, specializing in single-tenant net lease and retail investment sales. He has advised on transactions across more than 25 states, with a focus on necessity-based net leased assets and retail centers.

James represents a diverse client base of private investors, developers, franchisees, publicly traded REITs and family offices. He has particular depth in structuring sale-leaseback programs for growing franchisees, executing multi-state portfolio dispositions for national developers, and sourcing off-market opportunities for 1031 exchange buyers. Clients rely on him to take on complex or stalled assignments and see them through to closing.

James is a senior member of The Isaac Group, which has closed more than $3 billion in transactions. A top-producing advisor, he has earned Marcus & Millichap’s Sales Recognition Award multiple times, and was named the Denver office’s Rookie of the Year in 2018. He is also a contributor to the Colorado Real Estate Journal. James began his career at Denver-based REIT Dividend Capital and holds a B.A. in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross.
