Peter Doughty is a First Vice President Investments within the Chicago Downtown office of Marcus & Millichap and founder of the Doughty Industrial Group. Peter has an established core product focus of the acquisition and disposition of industrial investment properties throughout Midwest markets. His professional acumen and investment sale skill set allows a full-service value-add proposition for each client he represents. Peter has an astute ability to execute on behalf of his client’s objectives, by leveraging his deep investor relationships and the Marcus & Millichap platform. Each client should expect to receive thoughtful and strategic guidance on how to best position themselves based on their specific goals and investment criteria. His approach to each assignment is supported by real-time market analytics, capital markets, and return requirement thresholds. Peter offers candor and transparency through the entire sale process and is diligent in his efforts throughout all phases.

Peter is consistently regarded as a top 3 agent in the Chicago Downtown office for all product types, having earned the firm's National Achievement Award in both 2021 and 2022.

Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Peter earned his bachelor's degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. While attending Augustana, he competed on their NCAA intercollegiate baseball team where he was awarded 1st team All-CCIW and All-Central Region recognition as a senior.
